Welcome filmmakers! The MRFF 2014 call for entries is now open for submissions and we want your film! The MRFF 2014 festival will take place November 6-7, 2014 at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon.
• We accept short films (not above 30 min.) of all genres and from all countries.
• You can enter fully online through Withoutabox by clicking on the button you see just above this post.
• We have outlined the deadlines for this year here below:
Early Deadline – February 10, 2014; Late Deadline – June 30, 2014.
Before you begin to enter your film, please read carefully the 2014 Rules and Regulations. Notification of film acceptance status will be announced approximately by September 2014.

Official Selection Announcements are Coming Soon!
Our staff wants to sincerely thank all those who have submitted their work to be considered for Mind Rights Film Festival.
We are proud to announce that we received a huge number of touching and inspiring short films from all over the world. We are now in the process of delivering our lineup. Sorry for the delay, but our Selection Committee had some very difficult decisions to make in the past few days.
Information on selected films will be available shortly. Thank you for your patience!
Selections will be posted on our socials, this web-site, and sent through email to selected filmmakers.

Official Selection Announced for the MRFF!
The MRFF is proud to announce the official line-up for the upcoming event, taking place on November 6 and 7 at Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation: 22 short films, ranging from works of fiction, to documentary as well as animation; truly distinctive voices from different countries, promoting the rights of people with mental disabilities.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: THE JURY OF THE FESTIVAL
The MRFF is honoured to disclose the names and profiles of the festival jury members:
Manuel Costa Cabral – President of the Jury – former Director of the Department of Fine Arts of the Calouste Gulbenkian
João Mário Grilo – Juror – Filmmaker and Professor of Film Directing at New University of Lisbon
António Caldeira Pires – Juror – Coordinator of the Gulbenkian Programme for the Performing Arts of the Gulbenkian Portuguese Language and Culture Programme.
António Roma Torres – Juror – Psychiatrist, family therapist, psychodramatist and film critic.
Miguel Valverde – Juror – Director of IndieLisboa and producer
It is just in these days that they are watching and discussing about the films in competition. They are called to determine the winners of 1st and 2nd “MIND RIGHTS – Jury Award” for Best Film. Their decision will be announced during the Awards Ceremony taking place on November 7 at Gulbenkian Foundation.
The MRFF is pleased to disclose the 3 short film programmes and the Awards Ceremony, taking place on November 6 and November 7, respectively.
Everyone is warmly invited to attend the event!
